|Selvaraghavan to Direct Allu Arjun|
Description: Hero Allu Arjun has always admired the work of Tamil filmmaker Selvaraghavan, and had even heard some scripts from him but nothing had materialized so far.
Finally, the actor is to do a "multi-faceted" role in the director_s forthcoming film in 2012, which is touted to be a makeover film for Allu Arjun who is known for his urban lover-boy roles.
"Both of them have met a few times and agreed upon a story line and the director is adding finishing touches to it. It should go on the floors in April," says a source.
After churning out hits with Venkatesh, the director had been making rounds of Telugu heroes. Now, he finally has a talented actor on board and intends to dish out a realistic fare. Selvaraghavan also had a talk about the venture, which might be produced by the Geetha Arts.
Description: In a sudden development, Mahesh Babu_s Businessman, which was scheduled for January 11 release, is postponed to Jan 13th.
Th producer R Venkat had recently announced that the movie would hit the screens on January 11 without fail but he is forced to change the date due to a delay in post production work.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film would hit the screens in Tamil and Malayalam languages but release dates for those versions has not yet been finalized. Tamil version of Businessman might release on Jan 26.
In overseas market, Businessman will also be released with English subtitles. Producer is planning to release the movie in a record number of screens. As Mahesh had a huge hit with Dookudu recently, there is a tremendous craze for this film.
|Love Failure Hitting screens on Feb 3|
Description: Southern Stud Siddharth_s new movie Love Failure is set for a release on February 3. Love Failure is a Telugu/ Tamil bilingual taking shape in the hands of a debutant director Balaji Mohan.
Siddharth is romancing the actress Amala Paul in the film. In addition to the acting, Siddharth is also turning out as producer with the film. Love Failure which has begun recently was scheduled to wrap up the movie in 40 days. The youthful love entertainer is being made with a college backdrop.
Dil Raju has acquired the rights of the film for Andhra Pradesh and the movie will release under Sri Venkateswara Creation while SS Thaman will compose the tunes for the film

Description: Actress Richa Gangopadhyay who proved her mettle in Tollywood and Kollywood film industries is now stepping into Bengali film industry by signing up the remake movie of Vikramarkudu. Richa however says that she is not leaving South film industry and clarifies she would like to work in all languages provided the script is interesting and versatile.
_I am happy to be working in different induustries and will continue selecting my projects based on script value and versatility, not language. Sometimes it is not practically possible to do everything all at once with limited time availability among other factors, and at the end of the day, there are only so many projects a person can take up at any given time. I'm thankful and humbled to have had dream debuts in Telugu, Tamil and Bengali, and will continue working in these languages plus more,_ says Richa.
|Allu Arjun coming as Lover|
Description: Stylish Star Allu Arjun is once again teaming up with producer Dil Raju for a new film titled Lover. The film will be directed by Vasu Varma of Josh fame. The film will be produced under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Lover will hit the floors in the first half of 2012, as per sources. The storyline of the film is interesting and Bunny has immediately given his ok nod to its makers, says the buzz.
Earlier, the makers thought of naming the film Premikudu but a film by the same name featuring Prabhu Deva is already made long while ago, the makers have finally settled with the title Lover. The makers are trying to finalize the heroine of the film and already started searching for a right face opposite Bunny as per the script of the film. Thaman has been roped in as music director of Lover. This is going to be his first project with Bunny.
|Ram Charan in Zanjeer Remake|
Description: Tollywood heartthrob Ram Charan is set to make his Bollywood debut in 2012. The film will be directed by Apoorva Lakotia of Shootout at Lokhandwala fame. The movie will be a bi-lingual in Telugu and Hindi languages. As per initial reports, Reliance Entertainments is producing the movie with a budget of Rs 70 crore.
The news is that the actor is going to feature in the remake of Amitabh Bachchan_s 1973 blockbuster hit Zanjeer. This movie has made Amitabh a star out of him. Ram Charan is going to play a police officer in this powerful mass entertainer. The shooting of this film will commence from April, 2012 onwards, says the buzz. Let's hope that this movie brings Charan a Super Star status in Bollywood too.

Description: Super Star Mahesh Babu_s latest super hit Dookudu is going to complete its successful 100 days run in 39 direct centers in Andhra Pradesh on December 31. The makers are in the plans of holding a 100 days function sometime in January. The film has collected Rs 54.45 share in its full run. The film has become highest grosser in Mahesh_s career and Tollywood_s second highest grosser. However, Ram Charan_s Magadheera still enjoys the status of Tollywood_s all time highest grosser by a huge margin.
Dookudu has Samantha, Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Master Bharath, etc in the key roles. Thaman has scored wonderful tunes for this movie. Srinu Vaitla is the director and Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta are the producers of the film. Parvathi Melton sizzled in an item number in this movie. The film was made on 14 Reels Entertainment banner.

Description: From Arya to Parugu, Allu Arjun's films had a dream run at Box-office. Then came the flops and his recent Badrinath worsened the situation further. The youth and the mass audience were his core audience and he got his name and fame for his mischievous acts on screen and for romancing heroines like a 'desamuduru'.
But he missed the bus with Parugu and chased the dream to establish himself as a class hero which backfired. The star has now realized his mistakes and has started analyzing what audiences want from him.
In a novel move, he even started watching films in single screen theaters that are known for its mass audience to benchmark their reaction. Recently, he watched Panjaa at Sandhya 70mm at RTC X Roads and Rajanna in Kukatpalli theater.

This would definitely help to increase the patronage. It is a big process to get the subtitles done, but in order to increase the reach the makers have decided to take extra pain.
If this proves to be successful, then all our important releases would have English subtitles. Incidentally Businessman and Bodyguard have English titles too!

Description: Hero Srikanth is on cloud nine these days. The actor is currently on a signing spree and the recent addition to it is the film which has Nagarjuna in the lead role.
