Description: Bangalore, May 18 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister K. Siddaramaiah on Saturday expanded his ministry, with the induction of new ministers amid growing chorus for removal of tainted ministers. Karnataka governor, Hansraj Bhardwaj administered the oath to the new ministers before a packed crowd in a stadium. The newly elected Congress government in Karnataka got its chief minister, as senior party leader K. Siddaramaiah who took oath before thousands of his supporters in Bangalore. According to reports Congress Lok Sabha member A.H. Vishwanath from Mysore and 95-year-old freedom fighter H.S. Doreswamy, are amongst many who have been strident in their call to induct party legislators with clean image into the state cabinet. Description: Ramgarh, May 18 (ANI): Acting with brazen impunity Maoists in Jobhia village of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand set ablaze a hi-tech tractor, a Tata 307 truck, another tractor, a JCB and a mixer, belonging to Siddharth Construction Company. The Maoists had also put up posters on the scene against Operation Green Hunt and the government. Meanwhile fearing retribution the locals are unwilling to disclose about the incident. | CBI official investigating coal scam arrested for taking bribe | |

Description: New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the chief investigator in the coal blocks allotment case for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.7 lakh to "settle" a land dispute for a businessman. A second CBI officer and two others were arrested as well. The arrests were carried out by the CBI's internal intelligence unit. The arrested persons are Superintendent of Police Vivek Dutt and Inspector Rajesh. They were arrested outside the CBI'S headquarters. | 1 security personnel killed during gun battle with Maoists in Chhattisgarh | |

Description: Raipur, May 18 (ANI): At least one personnel of the Special Task Force (STF) was killed, while another was critically injured during a gun battle with Maoists in. The incident took place when the security forces were on their way to Maoist hotbed Sukma for area domination when the rebels showered bullets at them triggering a gun battle. As per senior police officials the spirits of the security forces has not taken a set back as such incidents occur in the line of duty and protection of civilians. Description: Mathura/ New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): The Delhi Police is likely to conduct more raids on Saturday in connection with the IPL spot-fixing scandal. Teams of Delhi Police's special cell have been sent to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Kolkata to conduct searches and track the money trail in the IPL spot-fixing case. Meanwhile, Pacer S Sreesanth and the two other players of the Rajasthan Royals IPL team Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila arrested by Delhi Police have reportedly confessed to spot-fixing. According to Delhi Police arrested Rajasthan Royals players have confessed to the crime during their interrogation. However, these 'confessions' are not admissible in the court of law. Earlier, police sources said Chandila has named two more players, both batsmen, who were involved in spot-fixing.
