Description:AutoCAST-X is a metal casting solidification software designed to improve the quality and yield of metal casts. The application is a web-based system that links to a manufacturer___s Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to simulate a part before it has been cast. Using a Gradient Vector Method (GVM), AutoCAST-X increases the reliability of metal parts by showing the heat signatures of the solidifying part. Innovator Professor B Ravi says viewing hot spots of the solidifying metal parts before an actual pour allows defects to be addressed, enhancing the quality of the finished part
