Disconnect between Govt & RBI on repo rate: BJP

Description:New Delhi/Mumbai, June 18 (ANI): Reacting over the RBI___s decision to keep its policy repo rate unchanged at 8 percent and the cash reserve ratio (CRR) for banks at 4.75 percent, BJP Spokesperson Nirmala Sitaraman today said that there is a complete disconnect between the government and central bank. Calling reserve bank of India an autonomous and independent body on monetary policy, Sitaraman said that the RBI didn___t bother to pay much attention to the input given by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. Meanwhile Stock market expert, Sunil Shah in Mumbai expressed his disappointment with the RBI___s decision.
