PM meets Maldivian Prez

Description:New Delhi, May 12 (ANI): Maldivian President Mohamed Waheed Hussain Manik who is on his maiden five-day official visit to India met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, in New Delhi today. The visit, his first, has taken place a month after former Maldives President Mohammed Nasheed, visited India. The two leaders are said to have discussed the situation in the Maldives including possible early elections to end unrest that followed the controversial ouster of his predecessor Mohamed Nasheed in February. Earlier today, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna also met Waheed at the Taj Palace Hotel.
