Chandigarh, Feb 7 (IANS) Haryana's pollution control board will open offices in all 21 districts of the state to facilitate the faster grant of environmental clearance certificates, a senior minister said Sunday.

Thus far, the certificates are issued only in state capital Chandigarh.

Environment Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said that a number of other services, including online processing of applications for providing a no objection certificate (NOC) to the industries for environmental clearance, are being initiated.

New pollution checking laboratories would also be set up at Panipat, Yamunanagar, Sonipat and Bahadurgarh, he added.
