Modi urges Centre to give nod to GUJCOC Bill

Description : New Delhi, February 08(ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi during the security meet on Sunday urged Home Minister P Chidambaram and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to give their nod to the Gujarat Control of Organised Crime (GUJCOC) Bill, which has been pending for quite some time. The Bill has been passed by the Gujarat State Assembly four times but has been rejected by the government due to some provisions in it. Meanwhile, Orissa Chief Naveen Patnaik asked Centre's help to curb Maoist menace.
