Announces entry with Billa 2 star Parvathy Omanakuttan unveiling their latest concept
Ultralite Fusion Silk at their Cross Cut Road outlet.
Coimbatore, June 7th, 2012.
Sri Palam Silk Sarees today announced the opening of their first flagship store in Coimbatore's bustling Gandhipuram area on Cross Cut Road. The store was declared open in
a traditional ceremony with customers and well wishers including Dr. Shri Nalli Kuppuswami Chetty, father of Jeyasree 'Silkworm' Ravi, the promoter of Palam, being present to bless the enterprise. Adding glamour to the occasion was celluloid star of soon-to-be-released Billa 2 fame and erstwhile Miss World finalist, Ms. Parvathy Omanakuttan.
'For the last 3 years, I have heard my customers from Coimbatore, Tirupur and Salem offer encouraging words of appreciation about Palam's silk collections but often disappointed with having to deal with the ordeals of traveling to Chennai. The smile on their faces has always been priority for my team and me and we decided to move into Tamil Nadu's second largest city - Coimbatore', said a visibly ecstatic Jeyasree.
Having waited over 5 years to open their second store in Chennai's plush Alwarpet area, Jeyasree is now on a war footing. 'This is our third store launch in the last 12 months with 2 in Alwarpet and Annanagar in Chennai and this being our first in Coimbatore. While it has meant sleepless nights for me, I am delighted to be able to stock more of our unique collections across locations to make it easy for our customers', added Jeyasree. 'We expect the next 60 days to be very exciting as we make our presence felt in the city'.
Besides the exquisite range of wedding silks to suit today's modern bride's expectations, Palam has also been at the forefront of innovation through the periodic launch of concept sarees. Today, Palam lifted the covers off their latest concept, the UltraLite Fusion Silk. The unique product combines the grandeur of pure zari silk and the comfort and ease of silk cotton. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Palam. J. Ravi said, 'the UltraLite Fusion Silk is our endeavour to encourage women to wear sarees year-long. Most women avoid wearing gorgeous sarees in the summers due to it's weight and overall cumbersomeness. Our unique offering combines pure zari silk and silk cotton to give you 9 yards of beautiful woven magic without compromising on splendour or comfort'. The collection will immediately be available for purchase at all Palam outlets, starting from Rs. 4500.
The new capacious store aims to provide customers with a wide variety of muhurtam pattu, designer silks, fancy sarees as well as their trademark line of concept sarees in pure handloom silk. The store is located on the ground floor of Lakshmi Manyan Metro, opposite the EB Office on Cross Cut Road. To shop online, log on to www.palamsilk.com
