Mammootty, Mohanlal 're-unite' after several years

It was a reunion fans of superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal have been waiting for years and the two relished coming together for the cause of Malayalam movie artistes with a lunch at Mohanlal's residence here Saturday.
"I am now at Mohanlal's residence and we are about to sit down for a
lunch together," said Mammootty who is teaming up with Mohanlal for an upcoming film being made for the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA).
The film, titled "Twenty Twenty", is being produced by actor Dileep and directed by Joshi.
Dileep is called younger superstar in Malayalam cine industry while veteran director Joshi is known for his big budget projects.
A major part of the film's box office collection will be used to create a fund for AMMA and around 65 actors would be working without remuneration.
"We are coming together in a film after a long gap," Mammootty told IANS.
"Was it in "Harikrishnans" that we acted together last time?" Mammootty asked half in doubt. "No, it was "Narasimham", Mohanlal butted in.
"We are shooting together for the first film made for the AMMA here and we took a break for lunch," said Mammootty.
"Narasimham" was made in 2000 in which Mammootty played a cameo role.
Mohanlal told IANS that he renovated the house he purchased recently and was happy that Mammootty joined him for lunch.
"After all we have acted in more than 50 films together," said Mohanlal.
Besides Mammootty and Mohanlal, other Malayalam leading actors like Suresh Gopi and Jayaram are also starring in the movie.
